DeAnna Sheets

DeAnna is the owner of Built on the Rock Counseling and Coaching Center, LLC. She also serves as Executive Director of Programs & Innovation at the nonprofit Arms Stretched Wide Foundation.

She began her counseling career in 2011 after earning a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. From 2001 to 2024, DeAnna was on staff at First Baptist Church in Canyon, TX, where she held multiple roles including receptionist, children’s ministry assistant, senior pastor’s assistant, and Director of Counseling the Ministry.

DeAnna provides individual, marriage, and family counseling, with specialized expertise in working with Christian ministry leaders, missionaries, and individuals who have experienced grief and trauma.

​She is a certified specialist in marital affair recovery, a Level I Restoration Therapy clinician, and has completed Basic EMDR training through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Her professional development also includes chaplaincy training with Texans on Mission and specialized training with the National Organization for Victim Advocacy. Additionally, she served as a contributing writer for the training manual Disaster Spiritual Care: A Training Manual for Spiritual Care Providers.
